Classes

Sessions are offered year-round (with holiday breaks off).
When there are enough continuing students, a“Level II” class will be added.

Costs:

Batons can be purchased through Jill approximately $34.00 for a professionally balanced/sized competition baton or $15.00 for a toy baton.
Size and balance are not exact and it is not weighted. Students can borrow a baton in class, but buying one for practice is recommended. Students can bring their own, but no water-filled / plastic or decorated ones will be allowed. Between $5.00-10.00 for LED’s or Glow Sticks (for night parades)

Dress Code:

DO WEAR: Workout pants or shorts that twirler can stretch/move around in. Short-sleeved shirt. Leotard or gymnastics unitard. . Socks (sometimes I will allow shoes off when learning body-technique/marching).

DO NOT WEAR: Jeans, slacks, dresses, skirts, long-sleeved shirts/sweaters, boots, flip-flops, sandles/open-toed shoes, or heels/dress shoes. Watches, necklaces, bracelets, rings and rings.

Hair & Jewelry:

Hair (for girl or boy) should be out of the way, in ponytail/s or a bun, out of face and off neck. Short Hair styles can be kept down
(if gets in face, should be clipped back in place).

Post earrings are acceptable.
Please do not wear and other jewelry and watches.

For baton classes, gym or workout attire is appropriate, short-sleeved shirt, leotard or gymnastics unitard. Avoid wearing loose fitting clothing, skirts and hats as these items can cause problems when working with a baton.

Clothing

Workout pants or shorts that twirler can stretch / move around in are appropriate, short-sleeved shirts, leotards or gymnastics unitards.
Please do not wear jeans, slacks, dresses, skirts or long-sleeved shirts / sweaters.

Shoes:

For baton classes, tennis shoes or dance slippers are acceptable. Socks (sometimes when learning body-technique/marching)
Please do not wear boots, flip-flops, sandals / open-toed shoes, or heels / dress shoes.

Parades & Performances

All Twirltastics baton twirlers have the option of appearing in local parades and/or competing at local baton contests. For more information contact Jill for additional information.
